The BDB Sales & Application Specialist will be responsible for BD Biosciences Sales; instruments, services and reagents (Clinical & research, Flow & non-Flow cytometry based). Core responsibilities also include customer support, the provision of instrument & application training for both end-customers & distributors’ sales & application team(s) in the assigned territory.

The principle aim of the role is maintaining customer satisfaction and driving sales growth in assigned territory through consultative selling skills, leveraging scientific and technical expertise & the utilization of BD’s commercial excellence tools, including SFDC, BDWoS, BDWoM and any other tool to be introduced at a later stage. In addition, the provision of on-site and off-site instrument (hardware / software) training and application support and promoting BDB products by providing all relevant marketing materials, oral presentation, when and as needed. The sales & application specialist will represent BDB in all relevant scientific conferences and symposia in the assigned territory.

BDB Sales & Application Specialist is expected to travel frequently and on a regular basis to fulfill job related tasks and requirements not less than 70% of his or her time.

Core Responsibilities

BDB Sales & Application Specialist, MENA is expected to and accountable for Maintaining and Driving BDB business growth in the assigned territory

Sales related responsibilities:

·Accountable for achieving Budget of assigned territory, top line & GP

·Regular planned direct customer (Sales, Marketing and support) visits

·Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans

oCompetitive profiling

oGrowth Drivers

oGrowth Strategy

oMonitor product line performance

oAnalyze and manage install base life cycle

·Execute new product launch programs in close collaboration with distributors and MENA Clinical Affairs Manager and Sales Managers

·Diligently manage and upkeep a healthy and logical pipeline in SFDC

oOpportunity management

oKey target customers (contacts & accounts) for specific product lines

oLogging in all business related activities and events

·Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts supported by SFDC data, highlighting upsides and risks, in a timely manner to BDB BM

·Coordinate and execute sales training programs for distributor sales force

Application Specialist Responsibilities:

·Provide application and product support to BD Biosciences customers in assigned territory

·Provide scientific support & application trainings to local distributors

·Address customers’ inquiries on products, applications, software and instruments

·Conduct demonstrations on instruments / reagents to customers & distributors

·Provide pre-sales advice to customers on their intended applications

·Work closely with Technical Service team & distributors to insure timely support, PM execution and installation of new instruments to avoid mistakes that would result in customer dissatisfaction, prolonged instrument down time, delayed invoicing and financial penalties

·Manage & follow up product complaint process (PIR), update data and provide feedback to BD Biosciences EMA organization

·Regularly utilize CSCE lab for self-training to maintain and improve competencies.

·Utilize lab to demonstrate to and train customers and distributors

Education and Qualifications: BSc Degree in Biological Sciences or Biomedical technology or equivalent as a minimum. And MSc especially in immunology or hematology would be advantageous

Professional Experience: Preferred candidates would have 2 – 4 years of experience in the field of Flow Cytometry; both sales and application.

Solid experience and skills in oral presentation, training, teaching and demonstrating.
