Here we employ approximately 450 people across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and R&D.
About the role
We are recruiting for a Labelling Coordinator on a permanent basis to join our site in Dun Laoghaire in a Day role (Monday to Friday).
As Labelling Coordinator you will:
- Provide project support to Supply Chain and the Diabetes Care Graphics & Labelling teams working closely with project managers, marketing, QA / regulatory affairs, R&D, operations, and manufacturing plants.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to fully define scope of graphics and labelling projects within our document management system.
- Coordinate and obtain approval and release of labelling for the various packaging materials used in the manufacturing of products sold by BD Medical – Diabetes Care.
- Liaise between packaging material vendors and the packaging engineering department.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with project managers and project requestors to ensure overall alignment of the labelling workstream for BD labelling.
- Ensuring all tasks/projects are completed on time in accordance with objectives and requirements of all process stakeholders within the artwork management system.
- Prepare handoff material for graphics team as per the project strategy.
- Liaise between packaging vendors, BD packaging engineering, and BD quality departments to agree on detailed material specifications.
- Raise purchase requisitions / shopping carts as required.
- Provide support to the Dun Laoghaire plant on continuous improvement / cost saving projects.
- Approve proofs submitted by vendors.
- Serve as BD Identity Advisor for the Dun Laoghaire facility.
- Using the BD Workflow System initiate the setting up of part numbers for assembly and packaging materials in SAP.
- Prepare SAP BOMs for the products assembled and packaged in our manufacturing plants.
- Prepare new and change existing production master data in SAP.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
About you
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the healthcare or related industry and hold a Third Level Qualification. Experience in preparing and reviewing packaging/labelling documentation. A working knowledge of design for the print/packaging industry, a keen eye for detail and a dedication to quality.
The successful candidate should have working experience dealing with stakeholders, either from a Project Management, co-ordination or quality inspection role, ideally within the print, manufacturing or localization industry.
