As Cost Accountant, your responsibility is to ensure accurate accounting for, and reporting of, all intercompany movements in BD’s European distribution entities. This role also ensures that price purchase controls are applied in compliance with the company’s SOX regime. In addition, we always look to standardize and improve our processes.

Scope & responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly reconciliations between the inventory management system and SAP financial accounting system.

• Investigate and resolve purchase price variances (PPV)

• Follow up on credit notes and invoices due from selling entities and plants.

• Support local controllers in matters of local transfer pricing methodology and documentation requirements for local tax authorities throughout Europe.

• Provision of backup documentation in support of monthly, quarterly and yearly SOX controls.

• Coordinate standard cost update in the costing system for annual budget with Plant Controllers and maintain/update transfer pricing rules.

• Main point of contact for cost updates in our system

• Cooperate with external and internal auditors.
