Separating Diabetes Care from the rest of the BD organization helps us support our BD 2025 strategy to Grow.

The project for the spin-off of Diabetes Care within Finance is named Berra.

Job Description

We are hiring 2 accountants to support our General Accounting COE in Belgium. These accountants will perform a range of general accounting duties. Ready for a broad accounting challenge with a lot of variety?

Your responsibilities:

• Engage in set-up and start-up processes for 22 Newco Berra entities

• Responsible for performing the US GAAP month end accounting close processes for the entities in the EMEA region.

• Calculation and processing of monthly US GAAP expenses and accruals

• Responsible for all aspects of the AP processes for Berra entities, including processing and reconciliations

• Responsible for executing payment runs, uploading supplier payments in the bank portals

• Responsible for the calculation and posting of recharges between Berra and BD entities and to ensure that they have the accurate supporting documentation from a local compliance perspective

• Responsible for preparing general ledger account reconciliations

• Processing, raising & posting invoices

• Responsible for liaising with Entity COE for all accounting related activity and providing reporting as the need arises. 

• Identification and understanding of process dependencies that impact our third party outsource providers & BD across the Berra EMEA entities.

• Assist internal customers with accounting queries.

• Ensure compliance of the businesses regarding corporate regulations, internal controls and other internal audit requirements

Your profile:

A bachelor in accountancy & a proven understanding of Microsoft Office. Others describe you as a results-oriented person who's able to work independently and value integrity. You are an outstanding teammate and are not afraid of change. Problem-solving gives you energy and in addition, you have a real 'can do attitude'. Last but not least, you are proficient in English.
