To strengthen the BD Biosciences European Training & Support HUB in Erembodegem, we are currently looking for a:

 Flow Cytometry Support Specialist  

As a Flow Cytometry Support Specialist you will have the opportunity to apply your competencies to provide high-quality remote support to our customers in Spanish or English through inbound calls, emails, or chat applications.

You will be part of a multicultural and dynamic team and you will interact with staff at all levels. You will report to the Scientific Support team leader.

Responsibilities:

  • You will use your knowledge and experience to provide high-quality remote support to our customers on reagent products and applications as well as BD Flow Cytometry instruments and software.
  • You will analyze and troubleshoot complex flow cytometry applications problems.
  • You will develop and maintain e-learning content for low cytometry instrument and application trainings; You will conduct remote training courses to external or internal customers.
  • You will support Application Specialists, Field Service Engineers and Sales representatives via phone or email.
  • You will maintain a high level of expertise in reagents and applications, develop and maintain technical content for BD Biosciences knowledge base.
  • You will occasionally travel to provide support at scientific congresses and to present technical seminars to customers and colleagues as well. You will contribute to new product launches.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor/Master degree in Biological or Medical sciences combined with several years of relevant experience in Immunology and flow cytometry.
  • Practical laboratory experience in the use of BD Flow Cytometers, using different instruments and applications. You are familiar with BD FACSDiva software.
  • You are able to design, perform, and analyze a multiparameter flow cytometry experiment, including setting up proper controls and adjusting instrument settings.
  • You have experience in creating educational content, with knowledge in digital learning technologies being an advantage.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and ability to learn new technology and online systems quickly.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills, with experience as a trainer being an advantage.
  • Knowledge and ability to analyze and solve complex scientific and technical issues whilst maintaining a customer focus.
  • Fluent written and spoken language skills in the following languages (C1/C2): Spanish and English. Additional European language is a plus.
  • Enjoy working in an international multidisciplinary team and consider yourself to be a good team player.
