A typical working day could be:

As a key member of the EMEA Total Rewards Team, the TR Specialist Benelux will collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders (Leadership teams, HR, TR, Finance, Legal, Works Council) as well as external stakeholders (Authorities, Vendors) to achieve effective and professional TR advice, reporting, communication, process improvements and compliance. You may start the day by performing a compensation analysis; then join a European project call on continuous improvement plans for HRS tools and systems.  As the day progresses, you might move on to managing a variety of local projects – either the roll out of a Flex Income plan in Belgium or a Pension harmonization project in Netherlands.  Finally, you might support in an urgent Compensation related issue on a global Mobility case, where your advice is essential.

In this role, you will be

  • Responsible for the operational management, support and delivery of the local and regional Total Reward programs and projects, e.g.:
    • Aligning current plans with upcoming changes in Dutch pension plans
    • Implementation and roll-out of Flex Income Plan
    • Benefits harmonization across different BNL-entities
  • Covering all TR operational topics for all BNL-sites such as:
    • Managing Annual year-end reward process in close cooperation of Total Rewards Center of Excellence (TR COE)
    • Maintain and control the regular incentive cycles such as annual and quarterly bonus
    • Managing Compensation and Benefit related HR ticket processes
    • Manage and execute all global compensation programs via support through continuous improvement of HRS tools & systems in close cooperation of TR COE
    • Continuous improvement of HR data operations
    • Renewal, harmonization and/or simplification of existing plans & policies and set up/process (partnering with local vendors, support works council process, data analysis, implementation/communication of changes…)
    • Expat management in partnership with Global Mobility COE
    • Prepare and coordinate local audits (social security, tax),
    • Coordinate local CLA-process 
  • Support the local/regional HR-team(s) as needed (analysis, simulations, bench marking, …)
  • Working with Finance, HRIS, Payroll and other stakeholders to accurately report results including explanatory comments and follow-up on outstanding items
  • Heavily involved in improving data management strategies to optimize data quality and effectiveness

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, HR, Finance, Legal or other related field
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus
  • Willingness to travel within BNL-region (50%)
  • Solid experience in Compensation, Compensation Operations or Payroll within a global organization
  • Knowledge of Compensation principles, regulations, techniques and good practice, and the ability to integrate with broader HR policies and objectives
  • C&B experience and knowledge of social legislation in Belgium and Netherlands is a must.
  • Project related experience and ability to work with cross-functional teams is preferred
