About the role
This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Quality Management, Medical Segment. The role leads the Quality Management organizations based in Switzerland for our infusion products out of US (pumps and disposables), Global Ambulatory Pumps, as well our Medication Delivery Solutions and Diabetes Care business units across EMEA. You lead, manage and develop the QMS organization in support of the strategic and tactical objectives required to fulfil business needs.
Key responsibility include:
Responsible for addressing issues, influencing decisions, as well as delivering Quality strategies in support of the Medical Segment business units managed out of Switzerland. Incorporate interpretations of existing and emerging regulations into the quality system and ensure effective implementation of requirements and processes.
Lead all aspects of the alignment of changes and improvements in the Quality system developed within Switzerland with the Corporate and BU Quality policies or procedures.
Promoting and encouraging a strong focus on prevention. Responsible for re-branding Quality to emphasize the focus on compliance, operational excellence and efficiency. You employ appropriate techniques to bring quality into daily view and will instil this concept at all levels within the organization.
Actively involved in monitoring, identifying and correcting significant quality issues through effective implementation of vital corrective actions in relation to the products manufactured for the Medical Segment.
About you
Working in a global environment, you need to have a strong technical foundation and aptitude coupled with the ability to be a collaborative facilitator and leader. You represent varied interests across the matrix and must establish and operate processes to ensure an ongoing and self-sustaining improvement in overall compliance both for the short and long-term.
We are looking for a professional with proven expertise in quality management including senior compliance management experience in an FDA/Competent Authority regulated environment. Proficiency in all regulatory compliance aspects of the business: pre-market, commercial, post-market, and regulatory including working with Regulatory Agencies to address issues will be key to success in this role. We also require comprehensive expertise in the applied interpretation of worldwide regulatory standards and laws applicable to the medical device industry (e.g., ISO, QSR, GMP, GLP, GCP). There is a strong preference for FDA Class II and Class III medical device and EU MDR experience.
In addition, we seek candidates who can continuously assess the efficiency of functional processes and lead progressive improvement initiatives applying principles of process excellence.
