Summary:
This position is a regional asset responsible for overseeing the delivery of BD Interventional’s (BDI) technical services strategy across EMEA. The Technical Service Leader will work directly with regional, country, and segment leadership to ensure service programs and initiatives are coordinated, communicated, and executed in a manner to drive service growth and ensure world class customer experience.
The EMEA Technical Service Leader will oversee all aspects of service delivery. The position is responsible for coordinating with global and local teams for executing the long-term regional and global vision for service and repair (S&R). The EMEA Technical Service Leader will work with BDI Commercial, Financial, and S&R leaders to develop and oversee the delivery of commercial service offering and initiatives. He will assist in planning and managing broader BD integration activities.
The Technical Service Leader will work within the global framework to identify and guide the qualification of any new service operations within the region. The position will report key S&R metrics on a monthly basis. He will provide assistance in reporting the region’s service financials to the BDI segment and to leaders within EMEA.
This position is the EMEA region's focal point for all S&R activities and actions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop a detailed project plans to monitor and track progress including key milestones that impact commercial, financial, and operational aspects of S&R
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to execute service strategy
Work within the geography to identify solutions for improving service delivery and customer experience, and driving growth and cost reduction
Work with Executive Leadership and Finance team to report on BDI S&R financial performance
Work with the Global S&R organization to ensure service readiness for all products supported within the region
As necessary, lead or support integration activities
Partner with the Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure compliance with all regulations and guidance that impact S&R
Support lifecycle initiatives, recalls, and field actions
Coordinate with country teams to ensure third parties / vendors are performing in accordance with the global and regional standards for S&R
Report service metrics to stakeholders
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Quality Specific Functions:
Ensure S&R operations comply with and can actively manage compliance with BDI’s Quality Management System, specific Quality policies, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to both manufacturing and service and repair
Coordinate with the Quality organization to help ensure complaint handling and post market surveillance activities are performed in accordance with BDI requirements
Report any quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality organization
Qualifications / Requirements:

Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in service or commercial operations
BS/BA degree preferably in a technical field of study
Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the healthcare industry
Understanding of regulatory processes related to product manufacturing, servicing, and distribution
Knowledge of quality systems and experience with ISO 13485 and 9001 certification
Experience developing and tracking budgets
Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
Team oriented, with effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
Ability to work in a matrix organization
Lean Six Sigma background is preferred
Recent completion (2018 or later) of project management refresher training such as PMI/PMBOK, Agile, Lean is preferred
Fluent English (reading, writing, verbal)
Travel up to 50%, as dictated by the needs of the business
