Job Description Summary
BD Biosciences, cell analysis for Germany/Austria/Switzerland with the following main focus:
Clinical Products - focus on clinical portfolio
Active cooperation in Life Science Research reagents and instrument portfolio area
The position reports to the Clinical Product Manager GSA, BD Life Sciences, Biosciences
Job Objectives & Primary role responsibilities
Technical support and product training for BD sales teams and customers; using market intelligence and product knowledge to develop focused campaigns in terms of commercial marketing tactics.
In conjunction with product management, develop the local differentiation activities with emphasis on service and profit for the respective key focus products and support the translation into tactical plans for the sales team.
Support the implementation of the local tactics based on the European product portfolio strategies.
Responsible for the implementation of product launches and support of the products over the entire life cycle (includes product recalls and field corrective actions).
Develop and own commercial campaigns and marketing plans with a main focus on clinical solutions and the respective reagents portfolio.
Support the creation of campaigns - ads, brochures, digital activities in both segments, Clinical and Life Science.
Develop and maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative data and qualitative data to b able recommending suitable actions to maximize opportunities and minimize potential threats to the business.
Forecasting and budget planning support of clinical reagents and responsibility for the input into the appropriate systems.
Collaborate and work effectively with other BD teams (BDX and Europe) as appropriate
Closely cooperate with Customer Facing Teams to improve market intelligence (including supply chain and pricing implications) and get awareness of market trends or customer unmet needs.
Align Value Offerings with the BD Way of Selling
Deep understanding of laboratory processes in a clinical and clinical research environment
Experience in Product Marketing Management and project leading
Master’s degree, MBA, medical or scientific graduate degree preferred
General sales-oriented mindset is highly desired
High degree of dependability: ability to take ownership of tasks and get things done
Ability to deal with ambiguity & change
Demonstrated ability to work well with teams
Expert level skills in German and English language
Ability to influence without authority, using relationships and networks
Presentation skills both internally as well as in front of customers
Willingness to travel
