EMA Product Manager - IDS Molecular Diagnostics & Cancer
Job Description SummaryThe essential function of this role is to support EMA (Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa) region in developing and driving Molecular Diagnostic (MDx) and Cancer Business Groups within the BD Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) strategy and help the EMA region to achieve desired financial performance through comprehensive and timely market shaping, portfolio management and execution of key marketing programs.
EMA Product Manager is expected to assist in strategic planning efforts, as well as cultivate effective working relationships with Global/Regional/Local Marketing and Sales teams.
About the Role
Develop and produce promotional material / marketing collateral and tools which will deliver key messages and positioning.
Develop and implement new product launch campaigns, aligning with market specific strategies and coordinating launch activities with all relevant stakeholders.
Develop and maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative data (e.g. market data, market trends, pricing, category share, etc.) and qualitative data (e.g. customer needs, competitor activities, plans, technologies and applications); recommending suitable actions to maximize opportunities and minimize potential threats.
Manage Product life cycle planning and processes.
Support the country marketing team with product information and product training activities
Contribute EMA Marketing Plan development, implementation and execution.
Interface with EMA and Global Marketing Teams to share information and update with market data, product developments and market specific strategic and tactical plans.
Contribute Market shaping/development activities in the different regions.
Contribute to financial budgeting, forecasting in close collaboration with markets.
Be a key member of the local Business team, support sales force, engage in budget and strategic review as well as sales tactics.
Skills and Competencies:
Support the development and roll-out of critical elements of brand strategy.
Develops product positioning, benefit ladder and value propositions at individual brand and customer or segment levels.
Understands and applies basics of market and customer segmentation and targeting.
Continuously monitors evolving customer needs, competitive choices/options, and other emerging technology that might have an implication on the brand performance
Develops business dashboards, including leading and lagging KPIs and other marketing metrics, to define and monitor the “What, How, and When”
Supports marketing efforts to ensure thorough evaluation and analysis of commercialization opportunities through successful implementation and deployment of new product launch plans, strategies and related tactics (including economic modeling, demand forecasting, pricing, market and country access and promotional activities)
Develops marketing promotional materials / campaign collateral management including digital campaigns.
Develops and ensures successful implementation of sales and supports medical liaison training to ensure full sales readiness by launch; continues to monitor sales knowledge through post-launch/other commercialization efforts and to provide additional training as needed to keep the sales organization competitively skilled throughout commercialization phases
Demonstrates a strong grasp of primary and secondary market research methods (including both qualitative and quantitative); knows when and how to apply each method based upon the need to know specific customer, competitor and other market information
Identifies potential market dynamics and early indicators of trend shifts as well as monitors and alerts the company to early warning signals (including KPIs) that may impact BD marketing plans
Demonstrates understanding of the selling process and customer insights to support the development of a customer-centric marketing communications plan.
Communicates effectively and persuasively both inside and outside of the organization in a variety of presentation settings.
Coordinates integrated communications plans with agencies, from creative briefs to provide clear objective and strategic direction.
Implements digital strategies appropriate to products/brands; supports digital and e-marketing campaigns by identifying optimal digital tools to maximize reach and influence of target customer segment
Uses brand positioning, product characteristics, benefits and value propositions to formulate relevant and consistent messages to target customers
Prepares concise yet comprehensive presentations of the marketing plan and related programs, as well as reports on their progress, for the marketing team to make or share with upper management
Aligns and collaborates with BD functions impacting marketing functions (such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Quality)
BSc degree in biological science, molecular biology or relevant working experience; Microbiology background is an asset.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of product management/marketing in IVD market.
Excellent command in both spoken and written English.
Advance level PC Literate in PowerPoint/Excel/etc.

Ability to work autonomously and be capable of independently generating, prioritizing and completing work.
