With Key responsibility to develop the MDS Africa clinical strategic plan that is aligned with and complements the MDS business plan in Africa. Coach, motivate and develop the capabilities of the clinical team in Africa. Develop strong performance management metrics. Develop links with Scientific Community, Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and collaborate with local marketing in developing a country-specific clinical roadmap aligned with clinical guidelines and country practices. Provide scientific/ clinical input into the business strategic positioning & projects.
Other Key Responsibilities:-
Strategic planning: Work with both EMA/ EMEA medical leader and Country/ cluster business Leader to develop the country specific medical strategic plan.
Work with the medical team to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the medical plan in their respective territories.
Team Management: Coach/ Motivate/ Develop the capabilities of the local Clinical/ medical affairs Team. Develop clinical/ medical performance metrics
Training and education: Coordinate medical training for new BD team members/ distributors in their respective country/ cluster. Develop, compile and update training modules as needed
KOL management : Works with the medical team to develop/ maintain the country Opinion leaders list and keeps it up to date. Establish, engage and maintain association/societies relationship at country/ cluster level
Business Medical Support: VAM: leads the planning, conduction, analysis and report back of VAM projects in their country/ cluster. Support business case development with clinical insights. Clinical support to BDX safety initiatives from the MDS perspective in the country/ cluster
Review clinical papers/ articles/ reviews to support team awareness of current/ ongoing clinical developments.
Leads on the design/ development of clinical tools new signature solution assessment forms, etc…
Medical information review for any new marketing tool developed in the country/ cluster
Strong Clinical background with a Masters level degree or similar.
At least 5 years clinical experience preferably in a business environment
People Management experience
Worked on Trainings, Clinical Strategies and Projects is key
