With innovative pre-fillable syringes, self-injection systems, safety systems and needle technologies, the Pharmaceutical Systems team offer an extensive selection of solutions designed to protect, package and deliver drug therapies.

About the role

You lead Portfolio Marketing for the pre-fillable syringes (PFS) segment of our Pharmaceutical Systems business unit. You provide critical marketing analysis and insights to grow the business. You develop and position a winning portfolio for the therapeutic categories in which PFS plays, and support customer acquisition and growth of launched products. You are responsible for the marketing competencies for portfolio management, commercial excellence in GPDS, product launch and LCM, within the global and regional teams. You are an important member of the Platform Leadership Teams and ensure consistency across worldwide and regional GTM execution in line with Platform strategy to win.

You lead a team of portfolio marketing managers to provide direction and oversight across the platforms on GPDS marketing input for development of offerings with strong value propositions.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Define portfolio offering for each therapeutic category
  • Manage the annual strategy planning process in collaboration with the other Marketing functions, General Management and R&D
  • Build and implement the portfolio's global go-to market strategy. Collaborate with Regional Marketing, Operational Marketing functions (ABM, demand generation and MarComm), Sales, Commercial Development and other functions to ensure consistency
  • Co-lead with R&D the annual Portfolio Review process including evaluation and financial analysis of new concepts and New Product Development
  • Coordinate analysis of business results, including market share, revenue forecasts, pricing, financial planning, budget and P&Ls
  • Evaluate marketing activities and ensure consistent delivery of marketing mix. Supervise market research to assess awareness and perception and inform development/refinement of PFS platform/product brands.

Position requirements:

We are looking for a leader with a track record in strategic marketing, new product commercialization and product marketing - preferably in the pharmaceutical, life sciences or medical devices industry. Experience in business-to-business (B2B) environments and management consulting is highly preferred.

You have experience in brand development and classical marketing, including market and customer segmentation, value proposition development, positioning, promotion, pricing, forecast, budget and performance management. You showcase strong critical thinking and a proven ability to partner with the Sales organization. Finally, you go above and beyond in coaching and developing your team.
