With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams.
About the role
Our Medication Management Solutions group is looking for a highly talented Systems Engineer to apply their advanced technical expertise to the development and launch of products in our portfolio.
Main responsibilities will include:
Requirements decomposition and design traceability, system-level product development, system level architecture, integration and test.
Critically assess the design and test implications for existing requirements and specifications.
Create highly detailed trace matrices which correlate existing product DHF evidence to 510k and/or MDR needs.
Translate inputs from Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, Product Security etc., into product requirements, specifications and detailed trace matrices.
Assess and challenge design proposals and prototypes through design reviews, comprehensive testing protocols and results.
Provide expertise in identifying key system behavior issues and driving the implementation of their solutions for new and existing products.
Setting high goals for personal and group accomplishment; pushing oneself and others to exceed performance goals and standards; strong and independent drive for success.
Establishing courses of action and plans for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently; successfully encourages others to take responsibility for their work packages.
Making customers/stakeholders and their needs a primary focus of one’s actions; developing and sustaining productive business relationships on a global front.
About you
Bachelor of Engineering or Science Degree with a background within Systems Engineering, medical device development, or similar roles.
3-5 years of related work experience.
Ability to work in a team, or individually, with global collaboration and interacting with external development partners.
Excellent communication skills across departments, e.g. cross-engineering (with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Firmware etc.) cross-functional (with Marketing, Regulatory, Clinical Representatives, Quality etc.)
Must have very strong writing skills.
Attention to detail paramount.
Desirable Qualifications:
A post graduate degree is desired.
Experience in development to IEC 60601, IEC 62304 and ISO14971 standards desired.
Experience in multiple areas within Systems Engineering such as; requirements development, requirement engineering, system architectural planning and design, interface control, systems integration and characterisation testing.
Experience interpreting experimental results, performing statistical analysis or DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) techniques and dFMEA methods is preferred.
Experience with Requirements Management tools (DOORS, etc.) and configuration tools (MS TFS, MS Azure etc.) is a plus.
