Reporting to the Country General ManagerItaly & Greece and the VP/GM Medication Management Solutions (MDS)Europe,youcontributeactively in the definition of the European business strategy, adapt and align the regional business strategy to specific country situation and take the lead to align and develop tactical execution of the sales, marketing and operational plans, as well as directing the development of adequate strategies, tools and processes to accelerate and drive sales and income growth.
You provide direct leadership to the MDS team in the Hub, including dedicated Sales, Marketing associates and Support. The position sits at the center of BD's matrix organization and requires close collaboration with and coordination between the European MDS team and BD ITG. Also, the role is responsible for the development and execution of a region & business specific vision and strategy.
Main Responsibilities & duties:
Full P&L responsibility for the MDS business in Italy & Greece (ITG).
Identifies growth acceleration opportunities for the business. Generates business model innovation opportunities and leads pilots to successful execution.
Protects the Share of Category of the business and implements effective new GotoMarket models to support launch of new productlines orgrow profit for the business.
Performs and exemplifies People Management and Talent Development that contributes to the ongoing success of the business. Develops personal and team succession plans and successors.
Contributes actively to Country/Business Strategy Formulation together with the CGM ITG and VP/GM MDS Europe. Leads strategy implementation.
Maintains High-Level Customer Interfacing on the daily basis.
Builds exceptional sales and marketing capabilities
Participates in the Country Leadership Team meetingsand to theExecutive Leadership Team meetings forMDSEurope.
An experienced leader, you have more than 10 years of sales, marketing and business management experience in the medical devices market, including at least 3 years with full P&L accountability.
You show exceptional customer centricity, as well asvery strong strategic thinking abilities and leadership skills. You demonstrate bold, visionary thinking toward future possibilities, translating ideas into actionable strategies to accelerate business growth and success.
You engage and align the organization and stakeholders to make decisions that are best for the global company, not just an individual group or unit.You create an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best. You alsomodel and demand ethical behavior.
Additional requirements include:
Italian native speaker &fluency in English
Ability and willingness to undertake significant travels and on a regular basisinternational trips
