About the role

As Business Analyst you will be a trusted advisor and provide business partnering solutions to the BDI – BD Interventional Business. This role will support the BDI Business Unit Managers and their commercial teams, the BDI Country Business Leader, the BDI Segment Business Partner and the Business Partners for BDI.

In this position you will report to CBL BDI.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Understand and Communicate the Direction of the Business - Gain meaningful insight into the underlying drivers of sales performance,
• Informed Decision Making - Perform detailed insightful and coherent analyses to inform tactical decision making in-country and help the business to manage risks, use opportunities and deliver on financial commitments.
• Forecasting and Budgeting – Take the lead to ensure all commitments in these areas are met in an accurate and timely manner eg meeting European BU expectations
• Strategic Planning - Prepare financial analyses and provide insights that will enable the BU leadership team to prepare the strategic plan.
• Set Appropriate Business Goals – Using analytics, insights and understanding of the underlying business (incl sales funnel, new tenders, pricing, lost business) work closely with Marketing and Sales Management to set appropriate territory targets for the sales organisation ensuring that sum of targets role up into the overall BU budgeted goal.
• Support Profitable Growth - Commercial support – providing sales, pricing and gp (gross profit) analytics; advising on tender / framework pricing strategies, preparing profitability / deal analyses working closely with marketing and CBL’s; work with BU Manager to optimise profitability and deliver on BU financial goals
• Preparation for Key Meetings – Prepare financial analyses and slides for monthly BU meetings and attend and comment on the monthly calls with the European BU
• Trusted Advisor – Support CBL / BU Manager to provide business expertise and clear insight for the business unit.
• Process Improvement - Ensure the development and ongoing management of a suite of monthly reports and provision of analytical tools to meet the standard information and analytical needs of the business unit.
• Support Inside Sales – provide insights and analyses that will enable the team to maximise revenue growth and deliver on business objectives.
• Support initiatives across BD Business Units (BDX)

About you

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in a Business Analyst role. You should be educated to degree level and have preferably a Degree in Finance or related field. The ideal candidate will have strong Financial, Critical Thinking and Analytical skills.

You have the capability to extract and interpret data from financial systems. Excellent IT skills are a must; you should have a good understanding of BI tools. We are looking for a candidate with a high level of flexibility and adaptability in changing and complex environments. You should be a standout colleague who is also able to operate independently and without close supervision; in addition you should have good presentation and communication skills.

Any previous experiences within marketing analytics are desired; previous experience from the healthcare and or medical device industry is a plus.

Previous experience working with tender management, as well as working in a large international business environment, matrix org is advantageous.
