SUMMARY OF POSITION WITH GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES


A new and exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative Biosurgery & Infection prevention for The Nordics has arisen with a focus in Sweden firstly, with supporting sales in Norway when needed.
Reporting to the BDI Surgery Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for pro-active sales of BD Interventional Biosurgery & Infection prevention products, positive representation of the company, meeting and exceeding sales targets, increasing the market share and market presence in the respective assigned region.

ROLE

• Pro-active promote and sell BD Interventional Biosurgery & Infection prevention Portfolio including Chloraprep, Clippers and Avitene/Arista.
• Proactive consultancy of new and existing customers in the respective assigned region, and realization of customers’ needs and requirements.
• Execution of all sales activity from new product introduction such as instruction and presentation to customers, handling contract negotiations and monitoring the deal until closure.
• Effectively managing sales calls: sales analysis and commercial awareness together with excellent negotiation, presentation and account management skills.
• In-servicing of new technology and device to practitioners, nurses and fully train the staff on the device features.
• Development of individual sales strategy in line with market conditions.
• Proactive analysis of market trends and developments (observes, analyses and report needs, concerns and opinions of accounts and decision makers and gather market intelligence, competitive intelligence and general market dynamics information) as well as competitor’s developments to ensure competitive edge in market.
• Increase sales and market share through the Sales Representative’s desire for success.
• Working closely with key opinion leaders, this role will provide support for special projects and for defined key accounts.
• Supporting the Sales Director with training and coaching activities.
• Representation at appropriate congresses and fairs.
• Maintenance of the CRM tool salesforce.com by revising, updating and entering information; keeping it accurate and up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED


Education
A degree or diploma level qualification in healthcare, biological sciences or marketing/economy.

Experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Sales experience in the healthcare industry (Pharmaceuticals, Medical, Medical Devices), ideally in Biosurgery (Cardiac, Vascular and Thoracic surgery).
• OR experience is a plus.
• The Sales Representative is expected to maintain clinical proficiency to be capable of supporting cases in a competent manner.

Languages
Excellent knowledge of (written and oral) Swedish and English required. Understanding Norwegian and Danish preferably

Computer skills
Good computer skills needed for reporting and presenting (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Other skills
• Knowledge of healthcare, including expertise in diseases, treatments and medical procedures.
• Knowledge of the healthcare market in The Netherlands, including competitor activity and trends.
• Experience within and understanding of the hospital environment as well as the ability to demonstrate a successful track record in selling to both senior clinical and commercial business managers in a hospital setting.
• Strong focus on customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). Demonstrated success in developing relationships with colleagues, consumers, customers and industry key stakeholders is highly valued.
• Ability to build a strong network with the peers as well as with the sales & marketing team, the market place, and the medical associations by being detailed, pro-active, and reliable in follow-up.
