As an E-DC Yard & Gate Inbound Planner you play an active role in fulfilling the E-DC quality policy: “The European Distribution Center will consistently satisfy customer needs by delivering the right product, in good condition, on time, with the right documentation at the optimum cost. This will be achieved through customer-focused continuous improvement and compliance embedded in processes & practices.”

You will report to the EDC Inbound Planning Team Leader.

Your Responsibilities as a Yard & Gate Planner:

• Ensure close monitoring of shipments arrival on a daily basis, follow up late arrival of drivers with carriers and register trailer/container identification, arrival and departure times.
• Follow up that inbound shipments are received in line with the planning while considering priority, Transit document validity, product preservation, load availability and operational constraints.
• In case of quality remarks during the unloading process, ensure correct logging on CMR so a carrier claim can be issued by other parties.
• Administratively start inbound warehouse shipments to start the receiving process, hand over receiving paperwork (PRR) to unloading crews, and follow up the timely return of the paperwork.
• Ensure correct logging of Transit documents received from drivers (Customs compliance).

Your Responsibilities as an Inbound Planner:

• You ensure accurate & timely workload-planning of all incoming shipments according to existing service level agreements, taking into consideration priority rules & other possible constraints (free time, …).
• You ensure a balanced workload in line with operational capacities.
• You steer the inbound processing activities with your knowledge of operations, service level agreements, Supply Chain planning & business.
• You take preventive measures to avoid overload.
• You ensure continuous follow up of workload execution status, taking into account priority setting, availability of warehouse resources & capacity.
• You manage/coordinate daily briefings between planning & operations to ensure the right number of resources at the right workstations.
• You prepare special planning- & arrival schedules (holidays, plant shutdowns, ..) based on information from inbound admin officers, plants, SC planning, carriers and coordinate the implementation of these special SLA’s.

• You have a bachelor's and/or experience in Supply Chain.
• You are outspoken, analytical, and flexible.
• You have good communication skills.
• You are a pro with Microsoft Office.
• You are keen to learn about the responsibilities and challenges of the different internal stakeholders (operations/yard gate/transport admin…) and you are motivated!
• You are open to work in Shifts; 6am till 2pm, 2pm till 10pm and the day shift.
• You are proficient in Dutch and English, both verbal and written. Any additional language is a plus!
