ABOUT THE ROLE

The Key Account Manager EE acts as the point of contact between BD and Key Accounts within EE. Through effective networking and stakeholder management, the Key Account Manager will develop the everyday essential portfolio. Everyday Essential portfolio consists of the essential products needed by the health care professional everyday such as syringes, safety injection needles and intravenous gravity sets.

Key Account Manager reports to the MDS Sales Manager Finland with a dotted line to the Nordic Commercial Manager, Everyday Essential (EE).

This is a field based/remote role within Finland, and we can offer competitive salary + bonus + Company Car + Company Credit Card + Health insurances ++

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills to network effectively and build solid business relationships within all levels in a key account to promote BD brand awareness and profitable business outcomes.
  • Responsible for contact with BD supply chain and the customer organization in case of backorders
  • By maintaining close contact with key accounts, implement planned strategies to develop profitable business and capturing information for future business plans and initiatives and tender work within EE.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of short, medium and long term sales action plans
  • Manage the key account at all levels and engage relevant internal BD collaborators as required to broaden the organizational networking between BD and the key account. Work cross-functionally as required and engage key personnel including Marketing, Sales Management, Customer Service, and Inventory Control.
  • Delivery of regular and timely submission of all reports as required. Apply Salesforce Effectiveness (SFE) and BD Way of Selling.
  • Ensure activities of the EE portfolio are consistent with the BD core values and comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards.
  • Actively manage pre-tender activities and in close cooperation with the Sales team and Price & Tender team ensure professional tender management. This includes decisions on products offered, pricing and other commercial aspects of the process together with the sales manager.

ABOUT YOU

  • Knowledge and minimum of 5 – 10 years related marketing or sales experience in the healthcare industry of Finland, either from MedTech or Pharma industry
  • The person who functions in this role must have tenacity and be highly self-motivated. This person will also demonstrate self-learning and be abreast of current issues in the healthcare arena.
  • Ability to research, analyze, interpret and make use of market intelligence
  • Proven success in customer advocacy development
  • Ability to influence others

Travel component: 30-40%
