Reporting to the Application & Marketing Manager, the Application Specialist will provide training and application support to end users of BD Bioscience instrumentation and reagent systems across the UK&I region, and support to the UK&I sales team in the form of pre-sales demonstrations, presentations, seminars and on-site sales visits.
- Delivery of in-house and on-site flow cytometry training to end-users of BD Biosciences instrumentation and reagent systems throughout the region.
- Provision of on-site flow cytometry application support throughout the UK&I region.
- Provision of telephone and email support to BDB product users
- Pre-sales demonstration of instrumentation/reagents/systems to potential customers.
- Delivery of customer focused seminars, presentations and workshops In-house product training of sales force, technical service and customer service teams.
You will also be involved in cross-training of application specialists Involvement in country and European business teams as required Provision of clear field-visit reports to inform and communicate with colleagues Entry of relevant information to customer relationship database
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in BSc/MSc Biomedical or related discipline and have demonstrable experience in a GLP/GMP environment.
You will also have:
- A scientific background, with extensive laboratory experience of flow cytometry applications.
- Good problem solving skills and ability to apply logical approach to problem resolution.
You will bring with you excellent communication and technical skills and relationship building skills at all levels. This is a role that requires the ability to work both as part of a dynamic team and on an individual basis.
There will be travel and overnight stays typically for three to four days a week as part of this role.
