Purchasing Specialist with German (remote/hybrid)

As Purchasing Specialist you will provide daily support for the procurement departments located in Germany and in the USA. You will perform purchasing tasks related to the purchase of materials and services consistent with specified levels of quality, delivery and total cost, for BD operations supported by Shared Service Center. Your job duties will include monitoring supplier promised delivery dates to ensure that your company will receive the right inventory at the right time in the right amount.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Communicate with Suppliers to obtain pertinent information required by the business.
Assist with supplier assessments in accordance with the company’s KDGs (Key Driver Goals).
Keep supplier notifications about upcoming deliveries up to date in SAP system.
Pro-actively follow up with the supplier on upcoming deliveries by creating and sharing the weekly open Purchase Order Line report.
Managing the data quality of supplier delivery dates to ensure supplier on time delivery to promise and to request are up to date and correct.
Informing the local international buyers pro-actively about critical supply issues and its reasoning.
Requirements
A high school diploma and at least one year of job experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally in German,
A collaborative team-work focused attitude and the ability to multitask.
Moderate computer proficiency, especially within an ERP (Enterprise Requirements Planning) system, preferably in SAP and advanced excel skills.
Ability to work with data including its validation and accurate entry and ongoing maintenance.
Understanding and insight into how organizations perform, including business processes, data, systems, and people.
Professional experience in a customer service organization is an asset
Ability to work in a global, remote team, embracing time flexibility.
